Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with enthusiasm in households throughout the city. Since the temples are closed, devotees performed aarti and recited Hanuman Chalisa at home.

The Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated in a simple and peaceful manner in the city during the lockdown. The temple are closed for devotees. However, priests started ritual worship at 4 am. Aarti of Lord Hanuman was performed at 6 am. The Hanuman temples in the city were decorated with various flowers. Shailesh Pujari performed Pooja and Aarti under the guidance of Jayant Joshi Guruji at Supari Hanuman. The Dakshin Mukhi Maruti temple at Aurangpura, Kanfate Hanuman temple in Shardashram Colony, Jabre Hanuman temple in Jadhavmandi, Langotiya Hanuman in Kasari Bazar, Smashan Maruti temple in Kailasnagar, Rokadiya Hanuman temple and Panchmukhi Hanuman temple at Karnapura were also decorated with flowers. Most of the devotees performed Aarti and worshipped the idol of Hanuman in the house. All recited Hanuman Chalisa, Maruti Stotra and Sundarkand.

The pooja and aarti at the Dakshin Mukhi Maruti temple Pandariba was performed by the Vyas family. Pappu Vyas also announced that a 30-bed covid centre is being started at Garkheda on behalf of the temple.
