Health workers urge GMCH not to make them unemployeds

Aurangabad, July 15:

The contractual health staff appointed by the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) administration for a temporary period, during the second wave of Covid-19, has requested not to make them unemployed and re-instate in their jobs.

The GMCH administration had a meeting with the delegation of these Covid Warriors today. However, the GMCH administration has clarified to them that further recruitment in the future will be made through the private agency only. The GMCH has also instructed the contractor to prepare the list of health staff as per the seniority, in two days.

GMCH's Dean Dr. Kanan Yelikar, deputy dean Dr. Kailas Zhine, Dr. Bharat Sonawane, and medical superintendent Dr. Suresh Harbade were present in the meeting. Meanwhile, AITUC has threatened of intensifying the agitation, if the GMCH administration does not take the health staff on duty by Sunday.

Adv Abhay Taksal, Vikas Gaikwad, Gajanan Khandare, Kiran Pandit, Amol Sarode, Ratan Ambilwade, Abhijeet Bansode, Nanda Hiwrale, Neeta Bhalerao, and other health staff were also present in the meeting.
