A man bluffed a woman that sarees are being distributed free and stole her gold chain having 40 beads at New Mondha Jadhavwadi on Friday morning.

A 60 years old woman, Gayabai Mahadu Hivrale is a labour and works in Harsul area. As usual, she was going on her work when an unknown person came near her and told that sarees are being distributed to poor women and he can take her there. Then he told her that there is huge crowd there and she should take all her ornaments so that it can be safe. He told her to take her gold chain and keep in a paper. He tricked her and took the gold chain and fled away. When realized she was duped she rushed to the Cidco polilce station and lodged a complaint. The police tried to search the man on the spot but in vain. Meanwhile, the person has been captured in the CCTV camera and the police have launched a massive manhunt for him.
