Aurangabad, March 17:

Corona infection is on the rise. Over 3,000 patients have been found positive in the last three days. Government hospitals have run out of capacity. The district administration on Wednesday issued notices under the Epidemic Diseases Act to six private hospitals for not increasing the number of beds despite orders.

District collector Sunil Chavan has issued notices to six hospitals including Manik hospital, Sawangikar hospital, Hedgewar hospital, Ekvira hospital, Sumananjali hospital and Kamalnayan Bajaj hospital. Chavan said that the information on what has been done to increase the number of beds in these hospitals has been sought through a notice. The divisional commissioner had instructed the hospitals to increase the number of beds. However, the hospitals have not followed the orders, said Chavan.
