Petrol price reduced by 60 paise, diesel by 64 paise in last fortnight

Aurangabad, April 10:

Fuel prices had been rising since January last year. The hike continued in March. However, fuel prices have been falling for the last two weeks. In the last fortnight, petrol prices have come down by 60 paise and diesel by 64 paise giving a bit relief to the citizens.

Fuel prices in the city have been steadily rising since January this year. The hike started in November 2020. The hike took a break in December. However, by the end of January, the price of petrol had reached Rs 94 per litre. Diesel prices had also touched Rs 84 per litre during the same period. Fuel prices continued to rise in February and March as petrol had touched Rs 98.77 per litre. The price of diesel had gone up to Rs 89.74 per litre. These rates remained unchanged in March last week. The prices started falling since March 25. From March 25 to April 7, the price of petrol has come down to 98.12 paise. The diesel price has been reduced to Rs 89.10. Secretary of the Aurangabad petrol pump owners association, Akhil Abbas said there is a possibility that these rates will be further reduced in the coming period.
