Aurangabad, April 17:

The city police have arrested one employee of the District Civil Hospital (DCH) in connection of the black marketing of the Remdesivir injections. The serious Corona patients are administered the Remdesivir injections. After this incident, the records of the patients who died due to Corona and were administered Remdesivir will be checked, informed the District Civil Surgeon, Dr S V Kulkarni.

The police unveiled the racket on Friday that the Remdesivir injections of the government hospitals are sold to the people at higher prices. In the police action, the injection from the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) being sold were seized from the accused. Hence, it is possible that the racket is spread in various hospitals. DCH has started the checking of the records of the Remdesivir administered to the patients. Each patient need six doses of Remdesivir, but the patient dies within one or two days of the treatment, it is being checked that what is done to the remaining injections. Whether it is returned to the stores or not, Dr Kulkarni has directed to check all these records.

Meanwhile, additional district civil surgeon Dr Kamlakar Mudkhedkar said that all the records of the Remdesivir injections stock were checked and all the records are proper. DCH has ample stock of Remdesivir injections, he said.
