Aurangabad, March 6:

While the number of corona patients is increasing, the health administration is now experiencing a shortage of manpower. According to sources, the district collector Sunil Chavan will issue an order for the revenue staff to be present on the front-line along with the health department on his return from leave, sources said.

Covid-19 is now on the rise again. About 300 patients are being found in a day. As many as 450 patients were found in the city on Friday. This has caused a great stir. The health administration is under a lot of pressure and a large number of patients are being admitted to private hospitals. The Covid Care Centers (CCC) have been reopened. Taking into consideration the number of people arriving from outside to the city, the administration must reopen the checkpoints on the city boundary. For this, the health department will need the help of the revenue staff. Earlier, revenue personnel were deployed on all major routes including railway stations and bus stands. At the same time, the revenue department officials and staff were working with the health administration in the hospital. According to sources, the revenue staff will be instructed to work with the health department again. However, the district collector in-charge Dr Anant Gawhane has not taken such a decision so far. Chavan is on leave. He will most likely resume office on Monday. Sources said that he would immediately deploy the revenue staff along with the health officials.
