Aurangabad, Dec 17:

The Waluj police arrested two persons during the nakabandi for bring the banned Guthkha on two-wheeler from Ahmednagar to the city on Wednesday evening. The arrested have been identified as Firoz Bagwan (35) and Moin Akhtar Syed (30, Both residents of Ahmednagar). The police have seized banned Gutkha amounting to Rs 78,000 and a two-wheeler amounting Rs. 40,000, all amounting Rs 1.18 lakh.

On the orders issued by the CP, PI, Sandeep Gurme, API Kankale, PSI Laxman Umbre and other policemen imposed a nakabandi on Aurangabad – Nagar Highway and checked the vehicles on Wednesday evening. Feroz and Moin on a motorcycle (MH 16 DS 2890) were stopped by the patrolling team and during the search, 220 boxes of Gutkha were found with them. A case has been registered against them at the Waluj police station on the complaint lodged by the Food and Drugs Administration officer Megha Phalke.
