Aurangabad, June 10:

An order of the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court has been issued to Saibaba Sansthan Trust in Shirdi to call for a re-tender for gas crematorium. Justice S V Gangapurwala and Justice S D Kulkarni gave the orders on Thursday.

The bench passed the order in connection with a civil application seeking permission for a tender of Rs 74,27,000 for Kalyani Enterprises for gas crematorium. The next hearing is set for June 22. According to the order, the bench had on January 14, 2021 allowed the Shirdi Sansthan to set up a gas crematorium and transfer it to the Shirdi municipal council. On the other hand, the district collector should accept the bid of the tender if the tender is less than 20 per cent and 10 per cent more than the prescribed rate as per the resolution of the Government dated January 1, 2016 and the clause of 3.1.2.1. There is a provision to call for re-tender if there is more difference than that, the bench pointed out. Considering the above points raised by the collector, the bench ordered a re-tender. The bench also allowed the procurement of materials required for the RT-PCR laboratory at the institute's hospital. Adv Pragya Talekar and Ajinkya Kale supervised the work on behalf of the petitioners, while adv D R Kale for state government, adv Anil Bajaj oversaw the work for Sansthan.
