Aurangabad, Nov 28:
Senior Assistant working in the Environmental Science Department of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University was dismissed from the service after a probe committee found him guilty of indiscipline. According to details, Backward Class Employees union leader Subhash Borikar was working History Department four years ago.
The administration received many complaints against him. He created problems for the then department head, Dr Pushpa Gaikwad, in the administration.
He used abusive languages with students and employees about Dr Gaikwad. The administration received complaints of abusive languages against four students and confining one student. A three-member enquiry committee led by Dr Sudhir Gavhane was set up. Dr Anjali Rajbhoj and Dr M D Shirsath were members.
Subhash Borikar was called frequently for hearing before Dr Gavhane’s committee, but, he did not turn up. The committee completed the enquiry in camera and handed over the report to the administration.
The university formed another committee led by retired judge S C Malte. Borikar did not come for hearing even before the panel. S C Malte expressed inability to work on the committee due to age factor.
Later, Bamu handed the probe to retired judge Prakash Paranjape who completed it and submitted a report to the administration. In the enquiry report, he was found guilty of indiscipline.
The university served a notice to Borikar stating as to why he should not be dismissed from the service. He did not give a satisfactory reply, so, he was dismissed from the job on Friday evening. Commenting on this, Borikar said that the action against him was taken as vengeance.
“I raised employees issues and illegal works in university time and again. I had also taken up the caste certificate of current registrar. The action was taken against me intentionally,” he added.
