Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

In a recent development, one person was assaulted in Beed district for viewing news relating to the murder of Massajog's Sarpanch, Santosh Deshmukh, on his cellphone. Meanwhile, the prime accused in the murder case, Krishna Andhale, has not been nabbed by the police, while minister Dhananjay Munde and Walmik Karad work like shadows to each other. Such incidents cannot happen without the involvement of the minister. Until Dhananjay Munde resigns, the terror in Beed will not end, said the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, MLC Ambadas Danve, in a press conference here on Friday.

Danve said, “ After allegations were made against minister Sanjay Rathod, Uddhav Thackeray had him resign. Later, he was acquitted of all charges, but that is different. However, the close relationship between the accused Walmik and Dhananjay Munde is well known here. Besides, the agricultural material purchase scam has also come to light. In such a situation, they needed to resign on moral grounds. In the upcoming session, we will not let them go.”

" Whoever wants to go, let them go"

When asked Danve why former Shiv Sena corporators from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar joined the Shinde faction despite holding meetings and conducting door-to-door campaigns, he said that people leave parties out of attraction or temptation. Even though some corporators left, the party organisation is still with us. Not a single shakha pramukh, vibhag pramukh, booth worker, or any other office-bearer has left the party. The party will not beg anyone. Whoever wants to go, they are free to do so, said the MLC.

Danve's conciliatory stance

It may be noted that Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray criticised party’s MP when he went to have a meal with minister Prataprao Jadhav. Hence the ruling party members commented that now the MPs will have to seek permission from Thackerays while going to have a meal.

When his attention was drawn to this, the MLC said that after working in the same party for many years, there are personal relationships with many people. Therefore, there is no need to take permission to go for a meal. Even when we meet people from the Shinde faction we speak with them, but that doesn't mean it's about creating divisions. Danve took a conciliatory stance on this matter.
