Aurangabad, Dec 9: A case has been registered against the supervisor and the owner of a company with the MIDC Waluj police station after a worker lost four fingers while working on a press machine.

According to police, Salim Khan Kalukhan Pathan (30, Padegaon) has been working for K S Industries, Plot No D-49, Kamgar Chowk at Waluj for two and a half months. On November 13, Salim''''s left hand got stuck in the press machine due to a technical fault. In this accident, his four fingers were badly damaged. Khan was admitted to a private hospital in Bajajnagar by company supervisor Nilesh Patil. Khan has lodged a complaint against both the owner and the supervisor, alleging that the accident took place due to lack of maintenance of the press machine. A case has been registered against the duo with the MIDC Waluj police station.

National Lok Adalat on Saturday

Aurangabad, Dec 9: The district legal services authority (DLSA) has organised National Lok Adalat (people''''s court) on December 12 at 10:30 am at Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court, district and sessions court and all tehsil level courts.

All judicial officers will participate under DLSA chairman and chief district and sessions judge Shripad Tekale. Cases regarding motor vehicle accidents, dishonour of cheque, marital disputes, land acquisition, compromised civil and criminal cases, loans, electricity, cases of various telephone and mobile companies, various national and private banks and debt recovery of financial institutions and other pre-litigation cases have been kept for settlement. Senior citizens or those who for some unavoidable reason will not be able to attend the Lok Adalat in person can participate through virtual (video conferencing) and WhatsApp calling facility. This will allow participants to participate in court proceedings subject to certain terms and conditions. The parties who want to participate in the Lok Adalat through virtual facility should contact the DLSA office by December 11 and register their names, appealed DLSA secretary, S D Indalkar.
