Two dies in tragic incidents in city

Aurangabad, July 20:

A 21-year-old youth Saurabh Shankar Padamne (21, resident of N-9 Hudco) got drowned in Harsul lake today. According to primary reports, the youth committed suicide following a domestic quarrel with his relatives. The Harsul police station has registered an offence of accidental death.

Saurabh and his family were natives of Washim. He exchanged heated arguments with relatives over domestic reasons on Monday night and then stepped out of the house in anger. When he did not return home, his family searched for him with his friends but was in vain. The police came to know that a body of an unidentified person is floating in the lake at around 10 am today. The police reached the spot and press fire brigade personnel. The chief fire brigade officer R K Sure and his team fished out the body from the lake. In the meantime, Saurabh's relatives also reached the spot and they immediately identified him. They burst into crying after seeing him in this condition. Saurabh was working in a medical shop. The police station has registered a case of accidental death and further investigation is on by head constable Shaikh Shakil.

Meanwhile, the series of deaths either due to drowning while swimming or suicide in the lake underlines the need of having a lifeguard as well as security personnel round the clock.

Watchman ends life

A 48-year-old watchman Arjun Kashinath Sangle was found hanging in the bathroom today at 7.30 am. Sangle was staying at the construction site (plot number 37) in Surananagar. The bungalow of Lokvikas Bank's former chairman J K Jadhav is being built here.

He hanged himself with wire to the bathroom window. The incident was reported to the Jinsi police station. Later on, his son Dharmaraj Sangle and one another admitted him in an unconscious state to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The doctors at the casualty ward declared him dead on examination, The police have registered a case of accidental death. The watchman was suffering from paralysis and he would have ended his life to get rid of the ailment, says the primary report of the police.
