The IPL match between KKR and SRH saw an exciting moment as Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis made his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. Known for his rare ability to bowl with both hands, Mendis made an immediate impact by taking two crucial wickets in his first over.
Mendis Stuns with Ambidextrous Bowling
The breakthrough came in the 13th over of KKR's innings when SRH captain Pat Cummins handed the ball to the debutant. On the first ball, Angkrishna Raghuvanshi completed his half-century with a single, bringing Venkatesh Iyer on strike.
Mendis, using his right arm, bowled to Iyer and clean-bowled him for just 1 run. In a remarkable display of skill, he switched to his left arm when Raghuvanshi was back on strike and took his wicket as well.
