Cricket fans across India are reliving the thrilling moments of their national team's ICC Champions Trophy 2025 triumph through a flood of photos and videos on social media. Team India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday to claim the prestigious title under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.
India chased down the target of 252 with six balls to spare. Ravindra Jadeja sealed the win in style with a boundary, sending the Indian camp into jubilation. He blew a flying kiss to the crowd while KL Rahul raised his arms in celebration.
Virat Kohli hugged assistant coach Abhishek Nayar before rushing onto the field with Rohit Sharma. The duo uprooted the stumps and playfully performed dandiya with them. Youngsters Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh joined Jadeja in the middle and recreated the Gangnam Style dance, a nod to Kohli’s celebration after India’s 2013 Champions Trophy triumph.
Shreyas Iyer added to the celebrations with his own dance moves after getting his hands on the trophy. He performed in front of the Champions Board as photographers captured the moment. His dance reminded many fans of Kohli’s famous Gangnam Style moves from the 2013 title celebrations.

India’s path to the final included a dominant win over New Zealand in the group stage on March 2. In that match, India posted 249 for nine after early struggles. Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel steadied the innings, while Hardik Pandya provided late momentum. Matt Henry starred for New Zealand with five wickets.
The Kiwis started their chase well but faltered as India’s spinners took control. Kane Williamson fought hard with 81 runs but fell to Axar Patel in the 41st over. Varun Chakravarthy was the game-changer with a five-wicket haul as New Zealand was bowled out for 205.
