Virat's sister and Anushka's sister-in-law Bhawna Kohli Dhingra recently during an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram, spoke about Kohli's daughter in a few words. Bhawna was asked, "Have you met Vamika whom she looks like more Anushka or Virat?" To which Bhavna replied, "Yes we have and she is an angel. Now, Bhawana shared clarification about the same and repeated that she doesn't want to intrude in Virat and Anushka's privacy and totally understands the reason for the same. In the clarification, she wrote, "Guys Virat and Anushka have already requested media to refrain from Vamikas pics. Please do not encourage or entertain any news that suggest that I have revealed how she looks I totally respect their decision and would not do so myself."

Soon after Vamika’s birth, the couple has issued a statement for the paparazzi. They had made an appeal to not click their daughter’s pictures. The statement read, “Hi, Thank you for all the love that you have given us for all these years. We are happy to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support. While we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child. We know that you will understand where we are coming from and we thank you for the same. ”Meanwhile, Anushka and Virat are currently in England with their little one for the World Test Championship finals.
