Jos Buttler to Ryan Rickelton: Full List of Overseas Players Unavailable for IPL Playoffs 2025

As the IPL 2025 playoffs begin, several top overseas players will miss the crucial matches due to international commitments. Here's a list of individual players ruled out ahead of the knockout stage:

South African all-rounder Marco Jansen has left the PBKS camp to join his national squad for the World Test Championship final. He took 16 wickets in 14 matches and formed a strong pace duo with Arshdeep Singh. PBKS have not named a replacement.

The South African fast bowler played two matches this season and picked up three wickets. He has joined the Proteas squad for the WTC final. RCB has replaced him with Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani.

The England youngster played two games and impressed with a half-century against CSK. He has been called up for England's home series against West Indies. RCB has brought in Tim Seifert as his replacement.

One of the most impactful batters this season, Buttler scored 538 runs in 13 innings. He will miss the playoffs due to England commitments. GT has named Sri Lankan batter Kusal Mendis as his replacement.

Veteran pacer Kagiso Rabada played four games in IPL 2025. Though he did not feature consistently, his experience could have been vital in the playoffs. He joins South Africa’s WTC final squad. No replacement has been confirmed yet.

The left-handed opener scored 388 runs from 14 matches and gave MI solid starts throughout the league stage. He is unavailable due to South Africa duty. Jonny Bairstow has been roped in as his replacement.

English all-rounder Will Jacks will also miss the playoffs. He was part of England's selection for the upcoming West Indies series. MI have named Charith Asalanka as a replacement.

South African pacer Corbin Bosch will miss the knockouts as well. While he had a limited role this season, his absence adds to MI’s concerns. Richard Gleeson has been added to the squad.
