Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor’s younger brother Rajiv Kapoor passed away yesterday after a sudden heart-attack. Amid this, Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar has also shared her feelings about Rajiv’s demise and admitted that she has been devastated with the news. For the uninitiated, Zeba is known for her performance in 1991 release Henna which was produced by Rajiv Kapoor. Talking about the same, the senior actress told Times of India, “I’m absolutely devastated to hear this sudden, very tragic news, I just don’t know what to say. I’m in touch with Daboo (Randhir), who has been through so much these past few years, losing his dear mother and siblings. Recently I was not in touch with (Rajiv) Chimpu directly but asked about him and Daboo always said that he was fine. ”Recalling the good times she had with Rajiv, Zeba remembered him as a sensitive and kind person with a wonderful sense of humour.

“Rajiv Kapoor, Chimpu, as everyone around him called him, was an adorable person, he was very sweet, sensitive and kind. We spent a lot of time together during the production of ‘Henna’ and had some great times. He had a wonderful sense of humour like all the Kapoors do, my memories with him are all of delightful times, fun and laughter,” she added. Fans and friend gave their heartfelt condolences yesterday as the whole Kapoor family was gathered at Rajiv’s Chembur residence for his last rites. Henna released in 1991 was written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, produced and directed by Randhir Kapoor, and starring his brother Rishi Kapoor, along with Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiyar in the title role and Ashwini Bhave. This film was planned and started by legendary director Raj Kapoor, but due to his demise during the filming, the remaining portions were directed by his eldest son Randhir. It is considered as the last film of Raj Kapoor. The film was produced by Randhir and Rajiv and was a commercial success upon its release. Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor’s wife and Rajiv’s sister-in-law Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram and revealed that there will be no Chautha held for Rajiv due to the pandemic. She wrote, “Due to the current pandemic circumstances, there will be no Chautha held for the late Mr. Rajiv Kapoor for safety reasons. May his soul rest in peace. The entire Raj Kapoor family is a part of your grief too."
