5 Shiv Sena Corporators from Parner Nagar Panchayat in Ahmednagar who had joined Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will return back to Sena.

Last week 5 Shiv Sena Corporators from Parner Nagar Panchayat in Ahmednagar had joined Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in Baramati.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had asked Ajit Pawar to give back 5 of his Shiv Sena corporators. The message was conveyed to Ajit Pawar through phone call by Thackeray's personal assistant and party secretary Milind Narvekar.

According to reports, in a meeting with Sharad Pawar on Monday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had asked NCP chief to return the corporators to them.

In an interview with Times Now, the corporators who were present at the NCP office on Tuesday said that they had lost faith in the local leadership. Dr Mudassar Sayyed said, "We are not angry with Uddhav Thackeray or the Shiv Sena as a party but we are angry with the local leadership. The current MLA Nilesh Lanke, also was with the Sena earlier, he too quit because of the local leadership and is now with the NCP. If the NCP asks us to go back, we will resign and seek membership of NCP as commoners, but we won't return to the Shiv Sena."
