Amid Navratri festival, shopping sites like Flipkart and Amazon have launched big offers on online shopping. On Amazon app, customers in India choose to access services in Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. While, Flipkart is available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages.Raj Thackeray-led MNS threatened an agitation against e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart for not including Marathi as a preferred language on apps. MNS leader Akhil Chitre wrote to their top officials on Wednesday, demanding it be included.

However, since Marathi language is not being used for this app, MNS has taken an aggressive stance. MNS leader Akhil Chitre had warned that Amazon and Flipkart should launch their app in Marathi in the next seven days, otherwise their Diwali will be in MNS style.

Amazon has taken note of the complaint made by MNS.  Amazon.in's Executive Customer relations team has responded to MNS's email on behalf of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. "Bezos has received your mail. I am sorry to learn about the experience you've had with the Amazon App. I have shared this instance as a feedback with the appropriate teams internally, so that such instances are worked upon, going further, a better customer experience,"Amazon explained.

MNS leader Akhil Chitre took to Twitter,"Representatives of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took note of MNS's insistence on giving priority to Marathi in Amazon's digital trading app. Amazon's delegation is in Mumbai today ... as Rajsaheb says ... if you stick to your language, the world will notice you."
