BJP leader Ram Kadam has slammed Shiv Sena for insulting and defaming late Sushant Singh Rajput and his family.

Kadam took to Twitter and wrote,"It's really appalling to see Shiv Sena leaders repeatedly insulting and defaming late #SushantSinghRajput and his family. Today, also a derogatory remark has been made. Dignity of the dead needs to be respected as.@CMOMaharashtra @OfficeofUT @rautsanjay61 @AnilDeshmukhNCP"

He further wrote,"Sushant cannot defend himself now. Slew of insults hurled by #Sena leaders first at #Sushant's father and now at him raises a pertinent question whom and what interests is Maha Govt trying to shield in purposeful cover-up in this case?@rautsanjay61 AnilDeshmukhNCP"

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences' (AIIMS) Forensic Medical Board on Saturday which was formed to look into Sushant Singh Rajput's death case has ruled out the murder of the late actor in its report.

In an editorial in Saamana, Shiv Sena's mouthpiece has lashed out at the Centre for maligning Mumbai Police and urged that the state government should file a defamation case against the Centre and Bihar Police.

"He was incapable of controlling his off-track vehicle. As a result of this, he started consuming drugs. And one day ended his life by hanging... Mumbai Police was meticulously following the case. They are the best police team in the world. But Sushant Singh Rajput's family was used for selfish politics. The centre roped-in CBI with bullet-train speed," the editorial in Saamana said.

The editorial further slammed the late actor calling him a 'characterless person who could not accept failures.

Saamana editorial further said that Sushant Singh Rajput's drug-connection was revealed with 24-hours of the CBI probe. "If there was a provision to conduct trial after death, Sushant Singh Rajput would have been tried for consuming drugs," the editorial said.
