Police officer Sachin Vaze has been arrested by the NIA in connection with the discovery of a car packed with explosives outside the house of renowned industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The NIA suspects that Sachin Vaze was behind placing the explosive-laden vehicle, which is being investigated by NIA officials, but the incident has embarrassed the Thackeray government. Similarly, many question marks have been raised on the Mumbai Police Force.

Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has commented on the whole issue while he came to attend the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year award ceremony. The Mumbai Police Force has done a very good job in the Corona period, the police were working day and night, the Maharashtra Police has a good image in the country. There were some irregularities in the way the probe was being conducted. He said that some officials make mistakes and care will be taken to prevent them from happening again. He further also said that he won't be resigning from his ministerial post.
