Kalyan-Dombivli has become a hotspot for corona and the municipal administration has also stepped up testing. However, a shocking incident has emerged from Kalyan town in Thane district where a  person was allowed to go home after his antigen coronavirus test report came positive.

About 4500 citizens are being examined daily by KDMC and antigen tests are also being carried out at railway station and bus stand area. However, if the report of a citizen is positive, no immediate arrangements have been made for patient's admission and they are advised to go to the nearest hospital.

Therefore, the shocking reality of the adminitration has come to light that the patient has to reach hospital along with their positive report. Meanwhile, instructions have been given to make ambulances available at the Antigen Test Centre and implementation will start immediately, said Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryavanshi.

Kalyan-Dombivli on Thursday reported 898 fresh covid cases.
