Partha Pawar son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has clarified that his father has not tested coronavirus positive. Ajit Pawar has been suffering from body aches and fever for the last three-four days. As a result, Pawar has canceled all his tours and is taking rest at his home in Mumbai. 

Earlier in the day there were reports that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has tested positive for Covid-19. He has mild symptoms and has been quarantined at his home in Mumbai.

However, Ajit Pawar's son Partha Pawar has denied the news. Ajit Pawar while speaking to ABP news said that his father was not infected with corona.

On Wednesday, Shivajirao Garje, general secretary of NCP-Maharashtra tweeted that Ajit Pawar would not be able to attend today’s meeting at the party office. He did not specify the reason for his absence.
