The increasing number of corona patients over the last two months has created a worrying situation in the state. In the last few days, 60 to 65 thousand patients have been found in the state.

The Bombay High Court has also taken note of the shortage of Remdesivir medicine in Maharashtra. The Nagpur bench of the court has questioned the central government, on what basis are Remdesivir injection are being distributed to the states? Such a question has been asked to the Central Government.

Also, Maharashtra alone has more than 40 per cent corona patients compared to the rest of the country. Therefore, they should also be given Remedesvir accordingly, the court said.

In this regard, the High Court has also slammed the Maharashtra government. Saying that the districts are not being properly distributing Remdesivir medicine. The court said that on 13 April and 18 April, the Maharashtra government did not send a single vial of Remedisvir to Nagpur.

"We met with the Joint Director of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration)," the court said. He said there is a committee at the state level. This committee determines the number of vials or doses for the states. Currently 7 companies are supplying Remedisvir in the country.

Given the situation, companies should provide more Remedisvir to cities where the number of corona patients are higher. This includes Nagpur, the government can instruct companies for this.

About 2,859 people are infected with corona every hour in Maharashtra. So one person dies every three minutes. Not only that, but the total death toll in the state has reached over 60,000. 503 people have died here in the last 24 hours.
