Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Spokesperson Sachin Sawant has questioned the silence of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) last month ruled out any foul play and concurred that Sushant died by hanging and was not strangulated or poisoned.

Now, with no further updates in the case, Sachin Sawant has asked if CBI is following the Code of Conduct of Bihar Elections in the SSR case. "Why no action/ statement after AIIMS panel report yet? It's been a month now since the AIIMS panel report," he said.

"Is CBI following Code of Conduct of Bihar Elections in the #SushantSinghRajputCase? Why no action/ statement after AIIMS panel report yet? It's bn a month now since AIIMS panel report. Has Modi govt told them to keep matter in abeyance until bihar elections?"

He further questioned if the Modi government has told them to keep the matter in abeyance until Bihar elections.

Sushant's body was found in his duplex rented flat in the posh Bandra suburb of Mumbai on June 14. An autopsy was performed at the Dr R.N. Cooper Hospital while the Bandra police station registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR).
