The Satara district police force has so far performed "brilliantly" during the year, successfully exposing 988 serious crimes while 15 criminal gangs have been charged under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Also, 262 people have been totally banned from entering the district.

Superintendent of Police Tejaswi Satpute has released the statistics of the performance of the district police force during the year.98 murders, 132 attempted murders, 39 robberies, 112 burglary cases, 11 chain snatchings, 107 burglary cases and 516 other burglary cases have been successfully solved and exposed by the district police. 

Three jeeps have been provided for the Nirbhaya squad, which is being used for patrolling. Due to which cases related to sexual harassment has reduced considerably. A trust cell has been set up to look into the grievances of women and senior citizens and many grievances have been resolved through this cell.
