Opponents have targeted the Uddhav Thackeray government over the issue of alleged transfer posting racket of IPS and non-IPS officers of Maharashtra Police. After this controversy, Shiv Sena has now targeted BJP in it's editorial in mouthpiece Saamana.

Shiv Sena has also made a serious allegation in its mouthpiece that the Opposition is abusing the central machinery and monitoring the state government, saying it is illegal.

"It should come as no surprise that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, who has leveled allegations against the state's home minister, is still in the service of the government.Despite this, no action has been taken against him for violating the conditions of service. Another officer Sanjay Pandey also wrote a letter to the Chief Minister explaining how he was treated unfairly in the 'promotion' case. Pandey has raised olitical pressure, government pressure and many other issues in his letter. Pandey is a Director General level officer, but he alleged that he was ousted in his appointment as Commissioner of Police, Director General of State. Pandey and Parambir Singh both in their letter have expressed their feelings which is fine, but they have made sure that their feelings reach the media which in turn casts doubt on the functioning of the government," read an editorial in Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Saamana.

The Shiv Sena has said, "Based on these two letters, the drama that the Opposition is doing in the state is interesting. Opposition leaders have reached Delhi with a report on the phone-tapping case of the duo by senior officials like Subodh Jaiswal, Rashmi Shukla and others. This proves that these people in the state administration were serving a political party. The Opposition had conspired with these officials to oust the Government of Maharashtra. It is now clear that this is a conspiracy to discredit the government and the opposition is behind it."
