Low COVID vaccines stock has forced people to go back without vaccination. "I have completed 84 days from my first dose. This centre is not receiving over 100 walk-ins asking to register online, said a senior citizen.Centres were closed for 2 days due to shortage of vaccines. BKC can only provide 200 doses of Covishield and 200 doses of Covaxin daily. I request people to register themselves so they don't have to go back," said Dr Rajesh Dere, Dean, BKC Jumbo COVID-19 vaccination centre
Meanwhile, Mumbai reported 558 fresh Covid-19 cases during the day and 15 deaths, taking the count of infections to 7,27,694 and the toll to 15,627.
Maharashtra reported 8,535 new COVID-19 cases, 6,013 recoveries and 156 deaths in the last 24 hours. Total cases stand at 61,57,799 while total recoveries are 59,12,479. Death toll meanwhile has reached to 1,25,878. There are 1,16,165 active cases of Coronavirus in the state.
Meanwhile, 58,924 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours, according to the state health ministry. As many as 52,412 people recovered in the said period and 351 died.
The total case tally reached 38,98,262 while the death toll reached 60,824.
