At least three people of the same family were injured in a leopard attack in Mumbai's Bhayandar East on Thursday morning, December 19. According to the information, the wild animal entered a residential area on Talav Road, which triggered panic among residents.

The leopard is currently trapped inside the Parijat building. The fire brigade has rescued an injured girl from the premises and safely transported her to the hospital for treatment.
Forest department officials and emergency teams are at the spot, and efforts are underway to capture the big cat.

A rescue team from the Thane Territorial Forest Department has been sent to the spot after receiving the call about a wild animal in the residential area. Deputy Conservator Sachin Repal urged residents to stay away from the big cat and do not provoke the animal. He said provoking can lead to animal-human conflict. Volunteers from NGO SARRP-India are also assisting the forest department at the site, according to Mid-Day.

According to the latest information received, at least five people were seriously injured in the attack. A video shared by an X handle "Gems of Mira Bhayandar" shows locals and the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) team rescuing a seriously injured woman from a house window where a leopard is said to be stuck in the building.
The woman and others were transported to a nearby hospital on a stretcher, where they received treatment for their serious injuries.
