There will be no Sunday mega block on September 15 on the Western and Central Lines of the Mumbai division. According to the Central Railway, commuters planning to travel via the Harbour line will face local train services disruption on Sunday from 11.10 AM to 4.40 PM. Special services will run between Kurla-Panvel at 20 min frequency during the block period.
However, passengers of the Western Line are likely to face train delays of 10 to 20 minutes on both the UP and DOWN lines due to mail or express trains. Every Sunday, Central Railway imposed Mega Block for approximately 4 to 5 hours during the daytime due to repair and maintenance work.

DOWN & UP Mail / Express trains departing/arriving LTT Mumbai will be diverted on DOWN & UP FAST lines respectively at Vidyavihar station and will be re-diverted on 5th & 6th lines respectively at Thane station and will run 10 to 15 minutes behind schedule during the block period.
UP HARBOUR line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm & DOWN HARBOUR line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm between CSMT Mumbai and Chunabhatti / Bandra stations DOWN HARBOUR line services to Vashi /Belapur/Panvel departing CSMT Mumbai from 11.16 am to 4.47 pm &DOWN HARBOUR line services to Bandra/Goregaon departing CSMT Mumbai from 10.48 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended. UP HARBOUR line services for CSMT Mumbai departing Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm & UP HARBOUR line services for CSMT Mumbai departing Goregaon/Bandra from 10.45 am to 5.13 pm will remain suspended.

HARBOUR line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line & Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.
Meanwhile on the occasion of Ganpati Festival, CR as announced significant special trains to and from Mumbai for Ganesha devotees to ease burden on regular services during festival rush. There are 12 special night suburban trains will run on the intervening nights of Saturday/Sunday, September 14/15, and Sunday/Monday, September 15/16, 2024, on the main line between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai and Kalyan/Thane. The special trains will halt at all stations between CSMT Mumbai and Kalyan/Thane.
