Amid the political war that develops due to long power outage in Mumbai following gird failure, one information comes to the fore the company, Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL), responsible for gird management is struggling with acute manpower crisis. About 7467 posts are vacant in the company. Now, the question being raised how could the company will be to share this important responsibility.

It may be mentioned here that due to grid failure, the electricity supply of Mumbai was halted on October 12. Energy minister Nitin Raut has predicted a big conspiracy behind it. Nonetheless, MSETCL itself is surrounded by the problem. A total of 17053 posts are approved in the company but out of these only 9406 posts have been appointed. The remaining 7647 posts are vacant. This information has also been given on the company''s website itself. Surprisingly, 466 out of 1442 posts of first class officers are vacant. Many such departments are also running on the trust of permanent in-charge. It is natural that in such circumstances work will be affected.
