The body of a 11-year-old girl who fell down into Pili river from a makeshift bridge in Vandevi Nagar on Wednesday, was found on Thursday. The body had reached bridge on Nag river located at Pawangaon coming under Kalamna Police Station.

The local residents found girl’s body on Thursday morning 11.45 am. People immediately alerted Kalamna cops. Police station officer Chavan and his staff rushed to spot and fished out body. Later, case was handed over to Yashodhara Nagar police.

It is worth mentioning here that 11-year-old girl Saleha Muskan Saleem Ansari, daughter of vegetable seller Saleem Ahmad Ansari and resident of Lane No. 3, Sangam Nagar in Sangam Nagar, had fallen into Pili river while returning home at 11.15 am on Wednesday. The search for girl continued till night. The family of girl went into deep grief after Saleha’s body was found on Thursday.

Local residents of Pili river are raising question marks over negligence of administration towards dangerous makeshift bridge. The main bridge in Vandevi Nagar has not been completed yet and people are still using makeshift bridge.
