Nagpur, Oct 12

According to Nagpur accord, one session of state legislature is mandatory in the city. Traditionally, winter session of state legislature is held here. This year, the session will begin from December 7. The preparations are on for the session amid Covid-19 pandemic. It is expected the Nagpur session will solve the problems of Vidarbha. But this year it is just opposite. Apprehension is being made that the Covid infection could increase in the city due to winter session.

As soon as the government reaches Nagpur, half of the health machinery will be in the service of VIPs. Here we are talking of those health facilities, which are still lacking. In such a situation, the question is arising that who will pay attention to the health of the general public during the session.

Sources said that there will be a Covid test for those coming to the Vidhan Bhavan campus. Special teams of Mayo and Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) will be deployed in the service of Ministers and MLAs. In such a situation, the shortage of doctors in hospitals will increase further.

The work of the secretariat will start before the session starts. For this reason, a large number of officers and employees will reach the city from Mumbai. There is no denying the possibility of increasing infection.

Covid care center, residence facility will end

The MLA Hostel was being used as a quarantine center from April 14. After this the center was converted into Covid care center. The MLAs coming for the session will stay here, there is a question mark on this. On the other hand, Covid testing center will also have to be closed in Ravi Bhavan. The residence of doctors serving Covid patients has also been arranged here. It also has to be closed.
