Nagpur, May 6

Popular bookie Rohan Dixit was arrested along with his two accomplices and recovered cash `1.75 lakh.

The accused include Rohan Dilip Singh Dixit (35) resident of Chandra Nagar, Old Pardi, Parikshit alias Bunty Anil Bagle (38) Pataleshwar Marg, Mahal and Naveen Bachhraj Khemele (37) resident of Govardhan Tower, near Chitra Talkies.

Rohan Dixit has been involved in betting for a long time. He used to bet with the help of Bunty Bagle and Naveen Khemele. He was arrested three months ago by the Crime Branch in Wathoda. A case of flesh trade was filed against him at that time. After lying low for sometime, he again started betting on IPL matches from home.

On April 30, DCP Neelotpal’s team from Zone-V raided his house. Rohan escaped by dodging the police. The police team recovered `1.50 lakh along with a TV set from his home. Since then, the police was searching for Rohan.

Rohan was waiting so that the incident cools down, btt due to constant police raid at home, Rohan was nabbed by the police.

Naveen Khemele used to do settlement for him, while Bunty used to do recovery.

Police arrested both and recovered the goods worth `1.75 lakh. Cases have already been registered against the accused. They use to restart their betting den, as soon as they were released from police custody. In view of this, the police have been preparing to take strict and decisive action against the accused.
