Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari raided a club in Old Subhedar Layout at Sharda Chowk on Wednesday morning selling immunity booster health drinks.

Moreover the club was spreading false information that after having the immunity booster drink, there was no need to wear mask and you will be saved from Covid. There were around 150 people in a 450 Sq.ft hall, flouting all the physical distancing norms and NMC seniors officials and mayor had got the information about this club.

Additional commissioner Ram Joshi, assistant commissioner, Hanuman Nagar Zone Sushma Mandge, NDS chief Veersen Tambe and employees of NDS were present during the raid.

The mayor got information about a club selling immunity booster drink, which can prevent Covid on Tuesday evening. The owner of the club Sumit Malik was allegedly claiming that there was no need to wear mask and no need for physical distancing, once the drink is consumed.

Mayor Tiwari said that such clubs, who are putting innocent lives in danger, should be penalised with strict action. The citizens should also be made aware and Covid rules should be followed strictly. Due to the raid, people started running, some of them were not wearing mask, the NDS team fined them.
