Eating meals late at night is putting millions in danger of suffering heart attacks as per a recent study.

Researchers from Spain's Barcelona Institute of Global Health studied nutritional quality of diet, lifestyle and sleep cycles and concluded that skipping breakfast and eating lunch late increases the risk of heart disease.

A person who eats breakfast at 9 am has a six percent higher risk of heart disease than a person who eats breakfast at 8 am.

According to researchers, eating dinner before 8 pm is good for the body. Eating after 9pm increases the risk of cerebrovascular issues by 28 percent.

Especially in women, late dinner increases the risk of heart disease. Making it a habit to eat the first and last meal of the day early can prevent the risk of heart disease.

Research says that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the world. Out of 1.86 crore deaths in the world in 2019, 79 lakh deaths were due to diet.

Blood pressure is meant to fall by 10%, but almost 25% of those who ate dinner within two hours of going to bed did not experience their pressure falling sufficiently overnight, compared with 14.2% who ate earlier. Following the West has led to various habits such as late dinner or skipping breakfast. These habits need to be corrected immediately.
