Additionally, the dealer network is mandated to disseminate information regarding the updated prices to consumers. Moreover, companies are permitted to collect Goods and Services Tax (GST) solely based on the fixed price, provided they have already paid the tax themselves. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, drug prices and medical expenses in the country surged, more than doubling in many cases. In response to this concerning trend, the government took action to mitigate the impact by deciding to reduce drug prices in early February. Amidst the prevailing circumstances, the second reduction in medicine prices within a month undoubtedly provides significant relief to the general populace. Following the budget announcement, the government's decision to alleviate the financial burden on patients and their families has been well-received. Moreover, diabetic patients have received positive news regarding their medication costs, further enhancing the overall sense of relief and well-being.
