Aurangabad, May 31:Acting upon the state government's order, the District Disaster Management Authority today has granted some relaxations during the lockdown, which has been extended from June 1 (7 am) to 15 (7 am), this evening. The new order will be applicable in the jurisdiction of the district including the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) limit. The authority, however, that the previous orders released on April 16 and May 12 will also remain effective. The order has been issued by the commissioner of police (CP) Dr. Nikhil Gupta and the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) administrator A K Pandey and the district collector and the chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Sunil Chavan.1. Essential Category shopsAs per the new orders, the essential category shops are allowed to operate their business from 7 am to 2 pm (earlier it was 7 am to 11 am). Hence the grocery stores, fruits and vegetable stores, bakery, shops selling poultry, meat, and seafood, optical stores, agriculture equipment, monsoon-related items will remain open on all days of the week till the lockdown.2. BanksAll the banks will remain open on all days during their working hours.3. Non-essential Category shopsAll the Shopping Centres/Malls will continue to remain closed. However, the non-essential category shops, stand-alone shops, and the shops which are not situated inside the shopping centres or malls have been permitted to operate their business from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 2 pm. The order indicates that these shops will have to be kept closed on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).4. Home delivery facility- The restaurants/hotels/bars and liquor sellers are permitted to offer parcel or home delivery services as per the old orders.- Besides, the administration has allowed home delivery of non-essential items along with essential items through e-commerce.5. Medical Service / Valid ReasonsThe citizens will not be allowed to move freely after 3 pm. The movement would be only for medical and other emergency purposes/ valid reasons or for home delivery services.6. Limited attendance in Government/Semi-govt officesAll government and semi-government offices, except those involved directly in essential service or in Covid-19 work, are allowed to function with 25 percent attendance of staff only.7. Agriculture EstablishmentsAll the shops and establishments selling seeds, fertilizers, agriculture equipment, and works relating to its repair and maintenance and Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) are allowed to remain open from 7 am to 2 pm on all days.8. TransportationThere are no restrictions of timing for the shops and establishments relating to the transportation and supply of goods. The owners could not sell the goods being stocked during this period. The administration will take legal action if anybody is found selling the goods/products.BoxxxxxxxxxxSpecial NoticeIt is mandatory upon all the shops, which are allowed to remain open till 2 pm, to closed down their and establishments, by or before 2.30 pm. If anybody is spotted violating the order then the administration would seal their shops/establishments till the end of the Covid-19 pandemic situation.The administration also underlined that the shops which were sealed previously during the Covid-19 pandemic will be allowed to re-open after completing the legal procedure of hearing. The right to conduct the hearing has been reserved with the assistant commissioner (labour), the assistant commissioner (food), the assistant commissioner (Food and Drugs Administration), and the District Collector, stated the order.
