Aurangabad, Feb 7:

A total of 130 front line workers were administered Novel coronavirus vaccine in the district during the last two days.

It may be noted that the first phase of COVID vaccination began on January 16 for health department staff. The second phase commenced for front line workers from February 5.

Aurangabad Municipal Corporation health officer Dr Neeta Padalkar said that

front line workers like police, employees of revenue and district administration being administered the vaccine in the second phase.

She said that 35 front line employees took the vaccine on Friday and 95 on Saturday.

The vaccine is being administered to police personnel at District Hospital. District Civil Surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni said that 34 personnel took the vaccine on the first and 47 on Saturday.
