Ajay Shah has been appointed as the senior vice-president of the Maharashtra state committee of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), which works for the rights of traders.

He received the appointment letter from CAIT national president BC Bhartia and national secretary general Praveen Khandelwal. "We will work together for the betterment of the trade and business community," Khandelwal said in the appointment letter.

Last year in July 2019, Shah was appointed as the Marathwada vice president of the Chamber of Maharashtra Association of Industry and Trade. He has been working tirelessly for the last 29 years to address the issues of traders. He has held important positions such as director, secretary, general secretary and vice president.

From 2014 to 2018, he was the president of the District Chamber of Commerce. During this time he carried out various activities for the development of traders and the city. "My responsibilities have increased," said Shah, while speaking to this newspaper.

In the near future, we have decided to fight against foreign direct investment and the entry of the corporate sector into the retail sector. He said the center and the state government should bring a policy to ensure the survival of small traders in the country.
