Aurangabad, May 29:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 2,629 antigens and 1,010 RT-PCR tests (total of 3,639 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places in the city and traced 29 Covid-19 patients (including five from areas out of the AMC limit) today.

The health teams conducted 106 antigen tests at the CCCs and detected five persons as infected. The AMC personnel also held 353 RT-PCR tests at the CCCs. Meanwhile, by visiting different parts of the city, the mobile teams have conducted 2,483 antigen tests and detected 19 Coronavirus-infected persons. They also collected swab samples of 561 suspects for RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, 33 RT-PCR tests were conducted by the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), seven by District Civil Hospital and 56 by private laboratories on Saturday. Meanwhile, the GMCH has conducted three antigen tests, and private laboratories conducted 37 antigen tests and both of them detected one and four infected patients respectively. The AMC will be receiving the reports of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
