The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 442 antigens and 360 RT-PCR tests (total 802 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places of the city and detected 59 Covid-19 patients today.

The health teams conducted 139 antigen tests at the CCCs and found 22 patients suffering from Coronavirus disease. The AMC personnel also held RT-PCR tests of 83 suspects, here.

Meanwhile, the Special Task Force, by visiting different parts of the city, checked the health of citizens and collected swab samples. The teams today conducted 224 antigens tests and detected 29 Covid-19 patients, apart from 136 RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, 41 RT-PCR tests were done by Government Medical College and Hospital, eight by District Civil Hospital and 92 by private laboratories. Meanwhile, the private laboratories also conducted 79 antigens tests and detected 08 Covid-19 patients (including the two from the areas out of the AMC limits), it stated. The AMC will receive the report of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
