Aurangabad, June 10:

A body of a woman was found at ST Colony in Bajajnagar on June 2. The woman was not identified despite several efforts were taken by the police to trace her. The corpse was lying at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) mortuary since then. The police finally burried her corpse at the Begumpura crematorium on Thursday. However, the mystery of her murder remained unsolved as the identifity of the woman was not traced.

The police suspected that some unidentified persons murdered her and left her body at ST Colony in Bajajnagar. In the postmortem report, the woman was found three months pregnant but the cause of her death was unclear. The corpse was kept at the mortuary at the GMCH. The last rites were performed on her on Thursday with the help of the Panchsheela Mahila Bachat Gut at Begumpura Crematorium, informed PI Madhukar Sawant and PI Prashant Potdar.
