Aurangabad, June 1:

The crime branch police have arrested an accused, who was wanted by local police, in connection with a case of preparing a bogus Voter's ID Card, registered against him since 2009.

Santosh Sahebrao Misal, Misal (32, Chaudhary Colony in Chikalthana), and 29 others were booked by City Chowk police station in 2009. These 30 persons were booked for preparing the bogus Voter ID Cards. The police had filed the charge sheet against them, but Misal was not attending any of the hearings. As a result, the court had declared him an absconder.

When the crime branch came to know about the court's development, the police inspector Avinash Aghav and PSI Vithal Chaskar and their team launched a search for him. In the meantime, they came to know that he is working in a Waluj MIDC-based company. The cops detained him, but Misal claimed that he is not the person for whom the police are searching. As a result, the crime branch presented a series of evidence against him, his old photograph, and his two Voters ID Card, then he became speechless. The accused was then handed over to the City Chowk police station.
