Aurangabad, March 26:

The government on Friday reviewed the current situation of Covid-19 in the district through video conferencing. Divisional commissioner Sunil Kendrekar, district collector Sunil Chavan, municipal commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey and others were present on the occasion. According to sources, the officials have informed that the administration is planning for a lockdown in the district. But its date is not certain.

In the video conference, Kendrekar said that now the infection has spread on a large scale. Collector Chavan informed them about the number of patients and positive cases. The government inquired about the availability of beds. Some suggestions have been received from the government regarding the lockdown on Friday, the officials said.

Collector interacts with the public

Collector Chavan interacted with the public through social media on Friday morning. Many raised questions against the lockdown. Some selected questions were answered by the collector. Holi, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations will not be held. He also clarified that all aspects will be considered when considering a lockdown.
