Aurangabad, April 14:

The cyber fraudsters duped a man from the city of Rs 4.71 lakh on the pretext of installing Jio Company mobile tower on his land and providing him lucrative income through monthly rent of Rs 75,000, insurance and a job opportunity. A case has been registered at the Jinsi police station in this regard.

According to the details, complainant Yuvraj Bhikanrao Chite has a farm at his native village Kumbhar Pimpalgaon in Jalna district.

He came across an advertisement mentioning earn Rs 75,000 per month rent by erecting the Jio Company’s mobile tower. Hence, he contacted on the number given in the advertisement. A woman told him on the phone that her company works for erecting Jio’s mobile towers across the country. The tower will be installed on his farm land and he will get the monthly rent of Rs 75,000, insurance and a job opportunity as well. Later, several people including Uttam Sharma, Nagendrasingh, Adv Ramesh Gupta, Vijay Saxena and one other woman contacted him on phone. On the pretext of agreement and various other reasons, they asked him to depost Rs 4,71,550 on various accounts. Even after paying this amount, the fraudsters demanded more money from him. When the complainant refused to pay them money and asked them to return his money, they switched off their phones. When realized that he has been taken for a ride, Chite lodged a complaint at the Jinsi police station. PI Rajesh Mayekar is further investigating the case.
