Aurangabad, Feb 1:

A woman married just six months back committed suicide by hanging herself in her house at Padegaon. The incident came to the fore on Monday at around 11.30 am.

The deceased is 19 years old Monali Govind Pathade is a resident of Kasliwal Tarangan Housing Society, Padegaon. Monali and Govind were married on August 17, 2020. Two months back, Govind with his wife and 14 years old niece came to Kasliwal Tarangan Society. He works at a private company. Today morning, went to his work place. His niece went in the bathroom and meanwhile, Monali hanged herself to a fan in the hall. As the door of the bathroom was jammed, the niece called Monali for help. However, she did not respond. As the door did not open for long, she started screaming for help. On hearing the noise, the nearby residents gathered near the flat and informed Govind and the police about it. The police with the help of the residents broke the door of the flat and entered the flat. They saw that Monali was hanging while the 14 years old niece was in the bathroom. Monali was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the doctors declared her dead after examination. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Cantonment Police Station while PSI Dharmaraj Deshmukh is further investigating the case.
