Aurangabad, June 4:

The notorious goon, Jamil Khan alias Jamya Shabbir Khan (30, Kiradpura) was murdered at old Modern Hotel premises in Shahgunj market area on Friday night. In the preliminary information, Jamya was stabbed by his brother-in-law. The police on receiving the information rushed to the spot.

According to the details, Jamil Khan alias Jamya is a resident of Kiradpura and worked as a labourer in Shahgunj area. He was a criminal on police record and around eight cases of house burglaries and thefts were registered against him.

On Friday, Jamil and his relative said to be his brother-in-law had a quarrel at a construction site in the premises of old Modern Hotel near Chandrasagar Digambar Jain Dharmashala at around 9.30 pm. He stabbed Jamil with knife on stomach, chest and thigh and fled away from the scene. Later, he was taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by Jameel Khan Baba Khan and other residents where the doctors declared him dead after examination.

ACP Vivek Saraf, City Chowk PI Sambhaji Pawar, PSI Vandana Muley, Bhagwan Mujmule and others rushed to the spot. The process to register case was going on at the City Chowk police station late night.

On the information that Jamil was murder by his own relative, the police are searching in this direction in the Kiradpura area, informed PI Sambhaji Pawar.
