Aurangabad, May 2:

A patient with the Covid like symptoms died at the Chincholi Limbaji primary health centre in Aurangabad due to unavailability of oxygen and ambulance here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Dadarao Narayan Gaware (48, Ghatshendra).

Gaware suffered breathing problem and was admitted in the primary health centre on Friday evening. The doctors conducted his antigen test and advised him to go to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). However, a they could not get the referral letter, he was sent back home. Here his condition deteriorated further and was again taken to the centre on Saturday morning. He was asked to go to the GMCH. However, an ambulance was not available. The doctors put oxygen mask on him but oxygen was not available due to which he died, alleged his relatives.

Meanwhile, his relatives refused to take the dead body and alleged negligence of the doctors. Acting tehsil health officer Dr Hemant Gavande and others convinced them and assured of strict action against the officers responsible.
